Vila and Associates; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the contractor; WHEREAS, the City Commission caused a notice to be published which stated that at a public hearing held on October 10, 1984, the Commission was to hear objections by persons interested in or affected by City Commission acceptance of the completed construction of LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT in LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4482; and WHEREAS, no such objections were sustained; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by M. Vila and Associates, Inc. for LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT in LITTLE RIVER HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4482 at a total cost of $1,037,696.14 is hereby approved. APP EMIG OCT IQ: Section 2. This project consisted of the construction of approximately 2 1/2 miles of streets including: clearing and grading, construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm sewer facilities, and landscaping in the area bounded by N.W. 73-79 Streets between N. Miami Avenue and N.W. 7 Avenue. The original contract amount was $1,098,079.99. The work was completed on time. It is now in order for the City Commission to accept the completed work and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.
