A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CLOSING OF FLAGLER m
STREET BETWEEN BISCAYNE BOULEVARD AND
N.W. 2 AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER INTERSECTIONS
ON OCTOBER 26, 1984 BETWEEN 1:00 P.M. AND
1:20 P.M. FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOWING A
PARADE OF ANTIQUE FIRE APPARATUS, ANNOUNC-
ING THE 3RD ANNUAL FIRE DEPARTMENT MUSTER
ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27, 1984; SAID
CLOSING BEING CONDITIONED UPON APPROVAL
OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE DEPARTMENT
OF FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the 1984 Florida Antique Bucket Brigade Muster
is being held on October 27, 1984, consisting of a fire apparatus
show and competition events, sponsored by the Florida Antique
Bucket Brigade, the Greater Miami Code One Association and the
Dade County Chief Fire Officers; and
WHEREAS, the proceeds of the event will benefit the
University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center, the Greater
Miami Code One Association and the Florida Antique Bucket
Brigade; and
WHEREAS, the parade is intended to promote this one
day event, and is being sponsored by the City of Miami Department
of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services in conjunction with
the above named organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The closing of Flagler Street between
Biscayne Boulevard and N.W. 2 Avenue and the closing of 3 Avenue
between N.E. 1 Street and S.E. 1 Street, on October 26, 1984,
between 1:00 P.M. and 1:20 P.M., for the purpose of allowing a

parade announcing the 3rd Annual Fire Department Mustef`is
hereby approved.
Section 2. The above approval is made subject to
the approval of both the Police Department and the Department
of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services.

The City of Miami Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspec-
tion Services together with the Florida Antique Bucket
Brigade, the Greater Miami Code One Association and
the Dade County Chief Fire Officers are sponsoring a
parade of antique fire apparatus on October 26, 1984,
announcing the 3rd Annual Fire Department Muster to
be held the following day, Saturday, October 27, 1984.
The proceeds of the Muster will be used to benefit
the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center,
the Code One Association and the Florida Antique
Bucket Brigade.
The parade will commence at 1:00 P.M. on October 26,
run for approximately 20 minutes westward along
Flagler Street, and be subject to approvals of both
the Police Department and the Department of Fire,
Rescue and Inspection Services.
