Social Service Agencies FROM.�'��!-' REF ERENCF_:;• Fra0: Castfaneda, Director Commission Meeting of Deliartmenf_ of Community DevelopmentFt,�L_of,U;,,.„ November 8, 1984 It is recommended that the City Commission adopt a resolution which formalizes notion #84-1214, providing a 1/12 allocation of $88,537 of FY'84-85 Federal Revenue Sharing funds to previously approved social service agencies for the period November 1-30, 1984. At its special meeting of October 31, 1984, the City Commission passed Motion 84-1214, which expresses the Commission's intent to provide a 1/12 allocation for the period November 1-30, 1984 to existing social service agencies which had previously received a 1/12 allocation of F.R.S. funds for the October 1-31, 1984 period. Dade County St. Alban's Day Nursery Youth Co -Op Total 8,333 13,333 8,333 5,684 4,167 $88,537 The attached resolution formalizes Motion 84-1214 and allocates an amount not to exceed $88,537 to continue the operation of the projects listed above. It further authorizes the City Manager to amend existing agreements with these projects, subject to the City Attorney's approval as to form and correctness. On the basis of the Commission's intention to insure that projects could continue to operate without interruption, it is further recommended that, in emergency situations, City of Miami Contingent funds be utilized to cover the period November 1 through the passage date of this resolution, with the proviso that once the resolution is adopted, that F.R.S. funds would be transferred to the Contingent fund to cover such costs.
