Home My WebLink AboutR-84-1239J-84-1063 RESOLUTION NO. 84-1239 A RESOLUTIOLV ACCEPTING THE BID OF CARTWRIGHT VENTILATION COMPANY, FOR FURNISHING COOLING AND VENTILATION EQUIPMENT INCLUDING ALL LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR INSTALLATION, ON A SHORT- TERM CONTRACT BASIS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AT A TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $5,296.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE PRIOR YEAR RESERVE FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received August 31, 1984 for the furnishing of three (3) Roof _ Exhaust and four (4) Air Circulating Fans, including all Labor and Materials for the Installation at the Motor Pool Main Shop, on a short-term contract basis until final acceptance, to the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 42 potential suppliers and 6 bids were received; and _ WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Prior Year Reserve Fund; and _ WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance for providing new equipment _ for adequate ventilation and air circulation in the Motor Pool Main Shop; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the _ bid received from Cartwright Ventilation Company be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; _ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: _ Section 1. The August 31, 1984 bid of Cartwright Ventilation Company for furnishing and installing cooling and Ventilation Equipment on a short-term contract basis for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance at a total proposed cost of $5,296.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from The Prior Year Reserve Fund.
