"It is recommended that the City Manag-
er be authorized to establish and fill
a full-time staff position for the
Committee on Beautification and Envi-
ronment in order to serve in the capac-
ity of coordinator with regard to all
Committee activities."
Mr. E. Albert Pallot, Chairman of the Committee on Beautification and
Environment, has requested that a full time staff person be funded
and assigned to work as a coordinator for the Committee. This person
would be responsible for organizing program activities for the Com-
mittee as well as preparing and disseminating public information and
press releases. A person capable of performing these duties would
include an Administrative Assistant I or a Publicity Writer, both of
which are grade 25A, job basis positions, which have a step one
salary of $24,003.70. Mr. Pallot has offered office space for this
individual.
In order to provide the level of support required by the Committee,
the Parks and Recreation Department recommends that a full time job
basis position be added and funded at a grade 25A level from Special
Programs and Accounts. Contingent Fund, per City Commission approval.
