RESOLUTION NO. -1308
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TWO-DAY
PERMIT TO SELL BEER FOR THE CERAMIC
LEAGUE OF MIAMI IN CONNECTION WITH THE
"35TH ANNIVERSARY FAIR" TO BE HELD AT
KENNETH MYERS PARK ON DECEMBER 1 AND 2,
1984.
WHEREAS, the Ceramic League of Miami has planned the "35th
Anniversary Fair" on December 1 and 2, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the event will take place in Kenneth Myers Park and
will include the sale of ceramic items in booths; and
WHEREAS, the Ceramic League of Miami has requested a two-day
permit for December 1 and 2, 1984, to sell beer in connection
with the "35th Anniversary Fair"; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 9818 of April 5, 1984, authorized the
City Commission to permit the dispensing of beer or wine in soft
containers in any City park upon such conditions and limitations
as the City Commission shall prescribe;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A two-day permit to sell beer is hereby granted
to the Ceramic League of Miami in connection with the "35th
Anniversary Fair" to be held at Kenneth Myers Park on December 1 and
2, 1984, in compliance with Ordinance No. 9818.

The Ceramic League of Miami is planning the 1135th Anniversary Fair"
in Myers Park on December 1 and 2, 1984. The annual purpose of the
fair is to raise funds for this organization. Approximately sixty
(60) booths will sell hand -made ceramic items attracting an ex-
pected crowd of 700 to 1000 people each day.
The organization has requested a two-day beer permit for the sale
of beer during the event. The Department of Parks and Recreation
recommends approval of the request as it welcomes community in-
volvement in the City's park system.
