AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 6 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9901
ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 21, 1984, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS
ORDINANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 19859 AS
AMENDED BY ESTABLISHING A SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED,
POLICE SECOND DOLLAR TRAINING FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-85 FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $267,567
FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING AND EDUCATION AS OUTLINED IN
FLORIDA STATUTE 943.25(8)(a), REVENUE IN A LIKE AMOUNT IS
AVAILABLE FROM METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY PURSUANT TO COUNTY
RESOLUTION NO. 97-82 ADOPTED JANUARY 19, 1982; CONTAINING A
REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9901 on September 21,
1984, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida,
for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Florida Statute 943.25(8)(a), states that municipalities and
counties may assess an additional $2.00 dollars as a court cost against every
person convicted for violation of a state penal or cgininal statute or convicted
for a violation of municipal or county ordinance
