Garcia REFERENCES: , —• Director of Finance ENCLOSURES: ry It is recommended that the attached , resolution authorizing the State of Florida to designate a bank to receive _ funds for the City of Miami and to wire such funds to the local bank designated by the City of Miami. Florida Statutes requires the filing of a resolution adopted by 4 the governing body of the City of Miami, with the Department of Banking and Finance, which authorizes the State of Florida to designate a bank in Tallahassee that will wire transfer funds for the City to a local bank designated by the City to receive such funds. A large number of municipalities in the State are taking advantage of this method of payment as this 'process will accelerate the receipt of funds from the State, and consequently will increase interest earned by the City on its available cash. cc: Law Department 84-144'7
