HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-84-1422L' E J-84- 1 130 11/20/184 rr/089/D8 RESOLUTION NO. 84-142ic; A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $99810 FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF 327 TICKETS TO THE JACKSONS VICTORY TOUR CONCERTS HELD NOVEMBER 2 AND 39 1984 AT THE ORANGE BOWL STADIUM, SAID TICKETS HAVING BEEN DISTRIBUTED BY THE CITY TO UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTHS. WHEREAS, the City of Miami received 800 tickets for underprivileged youths to the Jacksons Victory Tour concerts held at the Orange Bowl Stadium on November 2 and 3, 1984 from the promoter, Stadiums Management Corporation; and WHEREAS, an additional 327 tickets, at a cost of $9,810, were purchased by the City for distribution to underprivileged youths; and WHEREAS, funding is available from Special Programs and Accounts; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAM1, FLORIDA: Section 1. Funding in the amount of $9,810 is hereby allocated from Special Programs and Accounts to cover the cost of 327 tickets distributed by the City to underprivileged youths for the Jacksons Victory Tour concerts held November 2 and 3, 1984 at the Orange Bowl Stadium. Odio(''to Assistant City Manager DATE: November 19, 1984 FILE: SUBJECT: Draft Resolution Authorizing Purchase of 327 Jacksons Concert REFERENCES: Tickets ENCLOSURES: The attached resolution has been prepared concerning the City's purchase of 327 tickets to the Jackson concerts for distribution to underprivileged youths. The City's agreement for the Jacksons concerts held November 2nd and 3rd, 1984 at the Orange Bowl Stadium provided for 800 compli- mentary tickets for distribution to underprivileged youths. An additional 327 thirty -dollar tickets at a total cost of $9,810 were needed for the same purpose. The attached resolution formalizes this purchase. 84--1422
