A RESOLUTION�ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK
OF LANZO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AT A TOTAL
COST OF $7039678.i4 FOR KINLOCH SANITARY
SEWER IMPROVEMENT - (BID C AND ADDITIVE
BID C) - 2ND BIDDING - SR-5485 IN KINLOCH
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-
5485 AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF
$68,567.31.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated November 3, 1983
between the City of Miami and Lanzo Construction Company;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department of Public
Works recommend that the completed work be accepted and
final payment made to the contractor;
WHEREAS, the City Commission caused a notice to be
published which stated that at a public hearing held on
December 139 1984, the Commission was to hear objections by
persons interested in or affected by City Commission
acceptance of the completed construction of KINLOCH SANITARY
SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Bid C and Additive Bid C) - 2nd Bidding -
SR-5485 in KINLOCH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-
5485; and
WHEREAS, no such objections were sustained;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by Lanzo
Construction Company for KINLOCH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT
(Bid C and Additive Bid C) - 2nd Bidding - SR-5485 in
KINLOCH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5485 at a
total cost of $703,678.14 is hereby approved.

Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami
are hereby authorized to pay $68,567.31 to Lanzo
Construction Company as full and final payment for all work
performed and all materials furnished in connection with
KINLOCH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT (Bid C and Additive Bid
C) - 2nd Bidding - SR-5485 in KINLOCH IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
SR-5485.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of DECEMBER ,
1984.

The Department of Public Works recommends
the adoption of a resolution accepting
the completed work performed by Lanzo
Construction Company at a total cost of
$7039678.14; and authorizing a final
payment of $68,567.31 for KINLOCH
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT - BID "C".
Lanzo Construction Company has completed the project consisting .of
constructing a new sanitary sewer, including 8" - 30" sewer pipe, 6"
house laterals, together with all necessary appurtenances in the area
bounded by West Flagler St. to N.W. 4 St. between N.W. 42 - 45 Aves.
The work was completed on time.
At the Commission meeting of September 13, 1984 Resolution No. 84-
1021 passed, directing the City Clerk to publish a Notice of Public
Hearing on KINLOCH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT 2ND BIDDING) in the
KINLOCH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5485-C&S (centerline
and sideline sewers), BID "C" PLUS ADDITIVE BID "C".
It is now in order for the Commission to accept the completed work
and authorize final payment, after all conditions are met.

The Kinloch Sanitary Sewer Improvement (Bid C and Additive Bid C),
2nd Bidding, has been completed by Lanzo Construction Co., Inc.
The project consisted of constructing a new sanitary sewer, including
8" - 30" sewer pipe, 6" house laterals, together with all necessary
appurtenances, in an area bounded by W. Flagler St. to N.W. 4 St.
between N.W. 42-45 Aves.
We will request preparation of a resolution accepting the completed
work and authorizing final payment to the contractor.for the Commis-
sion Meeting of December 13, 1984.
This was a unit price contract in the amount of $715,508, including
a $35,000 cash allowance for special items. The actual construction
cost is less than the original contract amount for the following rea-
sons:
1. Additional proposal items used $ 11,117.64
2. Amount of cash allowance not used 22,947.50
Total Decrease $ 11,829.86
The actual construction cost, therefore, is $ 703,678.14.
