WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9534 on
December'9, 1982 establishing resources and appropriations for the

implementation of certain Capital Improvements in the City of
Miami;.and
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No.'9652`''on

July 18, 1983, appropriating an amount of $227,000 to establish
Computer Assisted Design and Drafting System as a Capital Projeot
in the.Capital Improvement Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works. has. acquired a
computer assisted drafting and design system to allow ='compliance
with construction schedules for sanitary sewers and street
improvements;
and
WHEREAS, state-of-the-art computer technology in this field
is rapidly changing; and

software updates, and associated computer peripherals estimated at �
a total cost of $250000; and s
WHEREASthe amount of $11, 500 is available for the
aforementioned purpose from the Citywide Paving Improvements
Project in the 1970 and 1980 Highway General Obligation Bond -Fund;
and
WHEREAS' the amount of $13, 500 is available for the -
aforementioned purpose from the Citywide Sanitary Sewer Extensions
Project in the 19759 1976p and 1980 Sanitary Sewer General
Obligation Bond.Fund; and
WHEREAS, the total amount of $25,000 can be transferred to` ;
the Capital Improvement =Fund to increase appropriations for the
Computer Assisted Design and Drafting System from $227000 to
$2529000 in`said fund; br
