RESOLUTION NO. 858
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE AMOUNT OF
$4,500 FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND
ACCOUNTS, QUALITY OF LIFE FUND, TO COVER
THE COST OF WAIVING THE RENTAL FEE OF THE
COCONUT GROVE EXHIBITION CENTER FOR A
DANCE HELD SEPTEMBER 15, 1984 IN
CONNECTION WITH THE 26TH ANNIVERSARY OF
MR. ALEXIS FARIS, A DISTINGUISHED RADIO
PERSONALITY IN THIS COMMUNITY, SAID
ALLOCATION BEING CONDITIONED UPON

ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY NO. APM-1-84, DATED
JANUARY 249 1984.

WHEREAS, the City Commission by Motion No. 84-969,
adopted September 30, 1984, directed the City Manager to
waive the rental fee for the use of the Coconut Grove
Exhibition Center for a dance to be held in honor of Mr.
Alexis Faris;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The sum of $4,500 is hereby allocated
from Special Programs and Accounts, Quality of Life Fund, to
cover the cost of waiving the rental fee of the Coconut Grove
Exhibition Center for a dance held September 15, 1984 in
connection with the 26th Anniversary of Mr. Alexis Faris, a
distinguished radio personality in this community.
Section 2. The herein allocation is conditioned upon
substantial compliance wLth City of Miami Administrative
Policy No. APM-1-84, dated January 24, 1984.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this loth day of January , 1985,

ENCLOSURES:
On December 11, 1984 we forwarded 4 resolutions formal tzing
requests for special funding (Motion Nos. 84-969, 84-1194,
84-1256 and 84-1302) and requested that they be placed on the
January 10, 1985 City Commission Consent Agenda. After a
phone conversation with Este Avalos of Community Development,
we made changes in two of the Resolutions and have formalized
an additional motion (M84-964). Please substitute the
attached 5 resolutions for the 4 resolutions previously sent.
