FUND BUDGET. .'_ NOW; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, .r FLORIDA: s. Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to increase the City's _ contribution to retirees from one percent (1%) to one and a half percent (1.5%), at a cost of $250,000 to the City for the remaining nine (9) months of FY'85. — Section 2. The sum of $250,000 is hereby allocated from the FY'85 Special Programs and Accounts Contingent Fund Budget to fund said allocation. — Passed and Adopted this 14th day of Februarja985. Maurice A. Rosencrantz City Manager t4anohar S. 4rani ector FgOM1'Departmentnt & Budget °ATE: January 14, 1985 FILE, b/DM853 SUSPECT: Allocation of $250,000 to City Retirees REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: ` It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached resolution allocating a sum of $250,000 from the FY'85 Special Programs and Accounts Contingent Fund Budget to City retirees. This money will increase the City contribution to retirees from one percent (1%) to one and a half percent (1.5%), for the remaining nine (9) months of FY'85. The City Commission passed a motion (M-84-1367) on December 13, 1984 authorizing and directing the City Manager as per a recommendation made on November 14, 1984 by the City administration to increase the City's contribution to City retirees from one percent (1%) to one and a half percent (1.5%) at a cost of $250,000 for the remaining 9 months of FY'85. The attached resolution formalizes M-84-1367 and is recommended for approval. This resolution is prepared for the January 24, 1985 City Commission meeting. 85-15 0
