A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LATIN

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF THE UNITED

STATES TO HOLD AN ELEVEN DAY CARNIVAL

BEGINNING FEBRUARY 28, 1985 AND ENDING
MARCH 10, 1985 ON THE GROUNDS OF
FLAGLER DOG TRACK, 401 N. W. 38th
COURT, MIAMI, FLORIDA; FURTHER
DECLARING THAT SAID CARNIVAL SHALL NOT
BE CONSIDERED AS ONE OF THE TWO
ALLOTTED EVENTS PER SITE PER YEAR FOR
ACTIVITIES OF THIS TYPE.
WHEREAS, on December 13, 1984, the City Commission by Motion
84-1391, expressed its intent to authorize the Latin Chamber of
Commerce (C.A.M.A.C.O.L) to hold an eleven day Carnival on the
grounds of the Flagler Dog Track; and
WHEREAS, the Latin Chamber of Commerce further requested
that this event not be counted as one of the two allotted events
per site per year for activities of this type;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United
States is hereby authorized to hold an eleven day Carnival on the

Florida, beginning February 28, 1985 and ending March 10, 1985

with daily activities ending no later than 11:00 p.m. daily.

ENCLOSURES:
It is recommended that the City
Commission authorize the Latin
Chamber of Commerce of the United
States to hold an eleven day
Carnival on the grounds of Flagler
Dog Track and that this event not
be counted as one of the two
allotted events per site per year
of this type, per the attached
resolution. This formalizes Motion
84-1391 passed on December 13, -
1984.
On December 13, 1984, the Latin Chamber of Commerce (C.A.M.A.C.O.L.)

appeared before the City Commission requesting that they be

authorized to hold an eleven day Carnival beginning February 28 and
ending March 10., 1985. The Carnival will be held on the grounds of
the Flagler Dog Track, 401 N.W. 38 Court. The Carnival will
terminate no later than 11:00 p.m. daily.

The Chamber further requested that this event not be counted as one
of the two allotted events per site per year as specified in
Ordinance 9500 regarding activities of this type.
The City Commission on December 13, 1984 by Motion 84-1391 expressed
its intent to approve this request.
The attached resolution formalizes this Motion.
