A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF
AMMUNITION RELOADERS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$34,875.00, BUFFALO ROCK SHOOTERS SUPPLY IN
THE AMOUNT OF $14,491.00, HARRIS HOUSE AND
AMMO, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,920.00, LAW
MAN'S AND SHOOTERS SUPPLY, INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2,725.00, OAKS WHOLESALE
DISTRIBUTORS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,172.00,
SOUTHERN GUN DISTRIBUTORS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,200.00 AND 3-D INV, INC. IN THE AMOUNT
OF $3,900.00 FOR FURNISHING AMMUNITION ON A
CONTRACT BASIS FOR ONE YEAR AT A TOTAL
PROPOSED COST OF $66,283.00; ALLOCATING
FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1984-85 OPERATING
BUDGET OF THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE ASSISTANT CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THESE MATERIALS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received December 17, 1984 for the furnishing of Ammunition on a
Contract Basis for One (1) Year to the Department Police; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 28 potential
suppliers and 7 bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the
1984-85 Operating Budget of the Department of Police; and
WHEREAS, these materials will be used by the Department
of Police for the purpose of replacement of expended ammunition;
and
WHEREAS, The City Manager and the Director of the
Department of Police recommend that the bids received from
Ammunition Reloaders, Buffalo Rock Shooters Supply, Harris House
and Ammo, Inc., Law Man's and Shooters Supply, Inc., Oaks
Wholesale Distributors and 3-D Inv., Inc. be accepted as the
lowest responsible and responsive bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The December 17, 1984 bids from Ammunition
Reloaders in the amount of $34,875.00, Buffalo Rock Shooters
Supply in the amount of $14,491.00, Harris House and Ammo, Inc.
in the amount of $1,920.00, Law Man's and Shooters Supply, Inc.
in the amount of $2,725.00, Oaks Wholesale Distributors in the
amount of $7,172.00, Southern Gun Distributors in the amount of

$1,200.00 and 3-D Inv. Inc. in the amount of $3,900.00 for
furnishing ammunition on a contract basis for one year to the
Department of Police for a total proposed amount of $66,283.00
are hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the
1984-85 Operating Budget of the Department of Police.
Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
to instruct the Assistant Chief Procurement Officer to issue a
Purchase Order for these materials.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14thday of February, 1985.

LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT
BID NO. 84-85-02

Sealed bids will be received by the City Manager and City Clerk
of the City of Miami, Florida not later than 2:30 P.M. December
17, 1984 for furnishing Ammunition Supplies, as needed, on a
contract basis to the Department of Police.
Ordinance 14o. 9775 established a goal of Awarding 50% of the
City's total dollar volume of all expenditures for All Goods and
Services to Black and Hispanic Minority Business Enterprises on
an equal basis.
Minority Vendors who are interested in submitting bids and who
are not registered with the City as minority vendors are advised
to contract the City Purchasing Office. 1145 N.W. 11th Street,
Room 126, Telephone 579-6380.
Detailed specifications for the bid are available upon request at
the City Purchasing Office.
The City Manager may reject all bids and readvertise.

Pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received December 17, 1984
for furnishing ammunition on a contract basis for one year to the
Department of Police.
Invitations were mailed to twenty eight (28) potential suppliers and seven
bids were received as per the attached tabulation.
These items are a regular purchase for the replacement of ammunition
used by the Department of Police.
Funds for this purchase are available in the 1984-85 Department of
Police General Fund Budget.
