Mayor and Commissioners City of Miami Florida Dear Mayor and Commissioners: 450 S.W 16th Avenue, Miami Fln. 331Js TEL. 6a3-2626 — 643.2677 The YMCA -Jose Marti has never received any direct help from the City of Miami since you very generously donated funds, a decade ago, for the construction of the basket- ball courts and other physical facilities. At the present time, our program has grown and is serving an important social need in the heart of Little Havana. Fo• example, we now have over 400 children in our after - school program who also attend full time during the swinner months. Additionally, the day-care operation services 35 children --the maxirrm number allowed under State regulations. I hereby request to be placed on the agenda for the February 14 meeting at which time I will make a full presentation to ask for your assistance. Sincerely, 0 METROPOLITAN OFFICES: 330 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 1003 a Miami, Florida 33I32 a (305) 358-YMCA p4wwjlwl/
