The Department of Public Works recommends the

Wingerter Laboratories, Inc., for professional
engineering tests performed in connection with
the Dinner Key Marina Redevelopment, with funds
for the payments to be provided from Retained

There exists an Agreement between the City of Miami and Greenleaf/
Telesca, Planners -Engineers -Architects, Inc., hereinafter called
the Consultants, for the design and preparation of plans and
specifications for the redevelopment of the Dinner Key Marina.
The Agreement stipulates that the City would furnish the Consult-
ants with the test data and services required by them to perform
the basic services covered by the Agreement.
During the course of the design, the Consultants requested that
we engage a testing laboratory to take test core borings of
various locations within the job site, and this department
authorized Wingerter Laboratories, Inc., to perform the testing,
using the prescribed procedures we regularly employe to. -make.
the selection.
The work has been satisfactorily performed by Wingerter Labora-
tories, Inc., and they have billed the City in the amount of
$15,600 for the work. This department considers the testing
necessary and recommends payment of the bills as legitimate and
reasonable professional engineering testing costs for the
project. Funds to pay the cost are available from Retained
Earnings from Marina Operations.
