HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-85-0427J-85-364 RESULUTIUN NO, 85-t-427 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ORDERING RESOLUTION NU.85-260 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FUR SEALED BIDS FOR THE CUNSTRUCTIUN OF FAIRLAWN NURTH SANITARY SEWER i 1MPRUVEMENT IN FAIRLAWN NURTH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5491-0 (CENTERLINE SEWER) WHEREAS, at the City Commission meeting of March 21, ti 19650 Resolution No. 85-260 was passed wiiieh ordered a sanitary sewer improvement identified as FAIRLAWN NORTH SANITARY SLWER IMPROVEML14T in FAIRLAWN NORTH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5491-C (centerline sewer); and ' WHEREAS, pursuant to due public notice a public hearing r was held before the City Commission on April 11, 1965 as to any objections to the confirmation of Resolution No. 85-260, which resolution ordered FAIRLAWN NORTH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT in FAIRLAWN NURTH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5491-C (centerline sewer); and WHEREAS, no objections to the confirmation of said s sanitary sewer improvement were sustained by the Commission, it is therefore in order for the Commission to confirm said ordering resolution and authorize the City Clerk to " advertise for sealed bids for the construction of said improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE r CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Cather REFERENCES Director of Public Works (For Commission Meeting ENCLOSURES of April 11, 1965) The Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of the resolution confirming Ordering Resolution 85-260 (centerline sewer) and authorizing the City Clerk to advertise for sealed bids for the construction of FAIRLAWN NURTH SA141TARY SEWER IMPRUVEMENT DISTRICT SH-5491-C (centerline sewers). This district consists of properties in an area bounden by N. W.57 Avenue, N. W. 61 Avenue, Tamiami Canal and West Flagler Street. The construction of this sanitary sewer improvement is part of the City's continuing program to provide sanitary sewers throughout the City of Miami. This area is presently served by septic tanand drainfield installations which are to be abandoned by tne property owners after completion of the sanitary sewer system. To serve this area, the Department of Public Works iids designated FAIRLAWN UUHTH SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT in FAIRLAW1 NURTH SANITARY SEWER IMPRUVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5491-C (centerline sewers) as an assessable improvement under Section 56 of tole City Charter. Each property designated for assessment under the ordering resolution will receive a sewer service lateral to tneir property line. 85r-427 Randolph B. Rosencrantz March 2U, 1965 This improvement was ordered by the City Commission at its meeting of March 21, 1985. It is now in order to confirm the ordering resolutions and advertise for bids. The FAIRLAWN NORTH SAWITANY SEWER IMPRUVEMENT is included in the 19d0-8b Capital Improvements Program and will be constructed by a private contractor under contract with the City of Miami. The estimated total proJject cost is $2,2UU,OO.UU and will be funded by General Ubligation Bonds which must be sold prior to the bidding. A public hearing will be held on April 1 1 , 19b5, at whicti time the Commission will hear objections to the confirmation of the ordering resolutions. The original Fairlawn district has been split into three smaller districts to promote bidding by minority contractors.
