Suran,'.Director FROM Department of Ma'79eAent- and Budget REFERENCES: U ENCLOSURES: i It is recommended that the City Commission approve the attached ordinance increasing the appropriations for the Internal Service Fund - Central Stores in the amount of $50,000 for the = purpose of continuing the inventory of Burroughs B-20 supplies (i.e. print wheels, floppy disks, ribbons, paper, etc.) during FY'85. Revenue in a like amount will be available from various City departments. The City of Miami's predominant word processing system is the Burroughs B-20, The Department of Computers has requested that the division of Central Stores stock on a continuous basis Burroughs B-20 inventorial items (i.e. print wheels, floppy disks, ribbons, paper, etc.). These items will be sold to various City departments as requisitioned. The Fiscal Year 1985 Central Stores inventory' budget is $220,000 and is not sufficient to meet the additional cost associated with adding the above items to their current inventory. An analysis was performed on the activity (additions and deletions to inventorial supplies) for the Central Stores stock room as of _ February, 1985. The results indicated that an additional $50,000 appropriations was required to offset the increased purchase for Burroughs B-20 supplies. As you are aware the Central Stores operation provides goods and services to other City departments and agencies on a cost reimbursement basis and must recover all their costs. The attached proposed ordinance is prepared for the March 14, 1985 City Commission meeting, s A P MIAMI % .— — ifii' 4.It5A INl" VI-O PPICC _ MCM6 ANCIUM 26 . T15. Randolph 8.
