A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF
DRIVE-IN FACILITIES AT THE FLORIDA NATIONAL
BANK LOCATED AT 2501 SOUTHWEST 37TH AVENUE
MIAMI, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Florida National Bank desires to install
drive-in facilities in conjunction with its bank building which
will be located at 2501 Southwest 37th Avenue, Miami, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it wishes
to review all applications for the installation of drive-in
facilities.

} NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The construction of drive-in facilities at
Florida National Bank is hereby approved.

The Zoning Board, at its meeting of May 6, 1985, Itelm 1, following an
advertised hearing, adopted Resolution ZB 68-85 by a 6 to 0 vote, granting the
Special Exception from Ordinance 9500, as amended, Schedule of District
Regulations, page 4 of 6, CR-2 Commercial -Residential (Community), Principal
Uses and Structures, to permit a proposed drive-in facility for the Florida
National Bank at approximately 2501 SW 37 Avenue (A/K/A Douglas Road), also
described as Lots 36 through 41 inclusive less and excepting therefrom the W
10', Block 7, SILVER BLUFF HOMESITES (8-101), as per revised plans stamped
April 9, 1985 by the Planning and Zoning Boards Administration Department and
with the voluntary dedication of a 25' radius return at the southeast corner
of SW 37 Avenue and SW 25 Street; zoned CR-2/7 Commercial -Residential
(Community). This Special Exception was also granted a time limitation of
twelve (12) months in which a building permit must be obtained.
Two objections received in the mail; one opponent present at the meeting.
Five replies in favor received in the mail; four proponents present at the
meeting.
Backup information is included for your review.
A RESOLUTION to provide for the above has been prepared by the City Attorney s
Office and submitted for consideration of the City Commission.

Department.
PLANNING DEPARTMENT APPROVAL. The subject request is in accord with
the intent of the Zoning Ordinance and meets the
10 required stacking spaces behind each of the
three teller windows. The proposed drive-in
facility will not have an adverse impact on the
surrounding area. The applicant also provides
for adequate landscaping and ingress/egress.
PUBLIC WORKS Request 25' radius return at the southeast
corner of SW 37 Avenue and SW 25 Street.
DADE COUNTY TRAFFIC No objection.
& TRANSPORTATION
ZONING BOARD At its meeting of May 6, 1985, the Zoning Board
adopted Resolution ZB 68-85 by a 6 to 0 vote,

Within the City generally, or within certain zoning districts, certain structures, uses,
and/or occupancies specified in this ordinance are of a natLL-e requiring special and
intensive review to determine xhether or not they should be permitted in specific
locations, and if so, the special limitations, conditions, and should
be applied as reasonably necessar^,; to promote the general purposes of this Zoning
Orci:ance, and, in perticular, tB protect adjoining properties and the iaighbor;;ood
from avoidable potentially adverse effects. It is further intended that the expert -.'se
and ,•'udgement of the Zoning Board be exercised in making such determinations, in
accordance with the rules, considerations and limitations relating to Class D Special:
Permits and Special Exceptions. (See Article 26.)
