A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $8, 000 FROM FUNDS
AVAILABLE IN THE MARINE STADIUM ENTERPRISE
FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAIRING PAVING IN
THE MARINE STADIUM BOAT PIT AREA LOCATED
INSIDE OF PROPERTY LEASED TO MARINE STADIUM
ENTERPRISES, INC., WITH SAID REPAIR COST TO
BE INVOICED TO MARINE STADIUM ENTERPRISES,
INC., IN TWO EQUAL INSTALLMENTS DUE
SE:PTEMBER 1, 1985 AND FEBRUARY 1, 1986.
WHEREAS, The City of Miami is a co-sponsor of the 15th
Annual Budweiser Unlimited Hydroplane Regatta to be held at the
City-ownea Marine Stadium on June 7, 8 and 9, 1985; and
WHEREAS, this event requires the use of the boat pit area
inside of property leased to Marine Stadium Enterprises, Inc.,
and
WHEREAS, the existing paving is in a hazardous and unsafe
condition for the proper handling of boats; and
WHEREAS, time is of the essence; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has estimated that
1 the repairs can be maae by their department at a cost of $8, 000

for labor and materials; and
WHEREAS, Marine Stadium Enterprises, Inc., has agreed to
reimburse the City for said repair;
NUW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY

OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The expenditure of an amount not to exceed
$8,000 is hereby allocated from the Marine Stadium Enterprise
Fund for the repair of p paving in the Marine Stadium Boat Pit Area
located inside of property leased to Marine Stadium Enterprises,
Inc.
Section 2. The Director of Finance shall invoice Marine
Stadium Enterprises, Inc., for the cost of paving repairs in two
equal installments due September 1, 1985 and February 1, 1986.

The lessee, Marl.ne
Stadium Enterprises, Inc., has
agreed to reimburse City in two equal installments
due September 1, 1985 and February 1, 1986. Since
time is of the essence, the office of Stadiums
recommends that the Public Works Department be
authorized to make the paving repairs.
