A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $6000 FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND
ACCOUNTS, CONTINGENT FUND, IN SUPPORT OF
THE MIAMI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL [MARCHING AND
CONCERT BANDS TO PARTIALLY COVER THE COST
OF SENDING ONE HUNDRED AND THREE MEMBERS
OF THE BANDS TO MEXICO CiTY TO PARTICIPATE
IN THE MEXICAN INVITATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

HELD MAY 23-26, 1985; SAID ALLOCATION

BEING CONDITIONED UPON SUBSTANTIAL
COMPLIANCE WITH ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY NO.
APM-1-84, DATED JANUARY 24, 1984.

WHEREAS, the Miami Senior High School
marching and concert bands
have requested $U000 to partially cover
the cost of sending one
hundred and three (103) members of the
bands to Mexico City to

participate in the Mexican Invitational Music Festival held May 23-

WHEREAS, the City Commission by Motion 85-531, on May 23, 1985,
expressed its intent to allocate $6000 in support of the bands;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. An amount not to exceed
$6000 is hereby allocated

ENCLOSURES.
It is recommended that an amount not to
exceed $60k;o be allocated from Especial
Programs and accounts, Contingent Fund,
in support of the Miami Senior Hign
School marching and concert bands to
partially defray the cost of sending
one hundred and three (103) members of
the band to participate in the
International Mexican Invitational
Music Festival held in Mexico City May
2s-26, 1985. The attached resolution
formalizes Motion 85-531, passed by the
City Commission on May 23, 1985.
On May 23, 1985, the City Commission, by Motion 85-531, expressed its
intent to allocate $6000 in support of the Miami Senior High School
concert and marching bands to partially cover the cost of sending 103
members of the bands to Mexico City to participate in the
International Mexican Invitational Music held; May 23-26, 1985. The
attached resolution formalizes this Motion.
Monies for this allocation are available from Special Programs and
Accounts, Quality and Life Fund.
