The Sixth Hemispheric Congress of Latin Chambers of Commerce and
Industry, as in previous years, will bring to Miami members of key
Chambers of Commerce of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as
Latin Chambers of Commerce in the United States.
In 1984, the Fifth Hemispheric Congress had the participation of
attendees from twenty-five countries from the Western Hemisphere and
representatives from eighteen major cities in the United States.
This year's Congress is expected to attract an even greater number of
participants and to strive toward the goal of enhancing the image of
Greater Miami as a major international center of trade and tourism.
The City's contribution of $34,000 will be utilized to cover such
expenses as advertising/promotion, printing and professional fees to
develop and coordinate the Hemispheric Congress (Exhibit 1).
