A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IN -KIND SERV-
ICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5000
TO BE PROVIDED FROM THE OPERATING
BUDGETS OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE,
PARKS AND RECREATION AND SOLID WASTE,
A14D A FEE WAIVER FOR THE USE OF JOSE
MARTI PARK NOT TO EXCEED $100,00 FROM
SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, QUALITY
05 LIFE FUND, IN CONNECTION WITH THE
CELEBRATION OF THE 122nd ANNIVERSARY OF
THE "RESTAURACION DE LA REPUBLICA" ON
AUGUST' 18, 1985; SAID ALLOCATION BEING
CONDITIONED UPON SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE
WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI ADMINISTRATIVE
POLICY NO. APM-1=84 DATED JANUARY 24,
1984; FURTHER ALLOWING THE SALE OF BEER
AND WINE IN CONNECTION WITH SAID EVENT,
SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF ALL STATE
PERMITS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has expressed its intent, by
Motion No. 85-465 of May 9, 1985, to provide in -kind services not
to exceed $5, 000 and a fee waiver for use of Jose Marti Park in
connection with the 122nd Anniversary Celebration of the
"Restauracion de la Republica", to be heldAugust18, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the organizers of the event have also requested
permission to sell beer and wine in Jose Marti Park on that day
in connection with the event;
WHEREAS, Ordinance No.'9818 of April 5, 1984,` authorized the
City Commission to permit the dispensing of beer or wineinsoft
containers in any City park upon such conditions and limitations
as the City Commission shall prescribe;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. In -kind services in an amount not to exceed
$5,000 are hereby authorized to be provided from the operating
budgets of the Departments of Police, Parks and Recreation, and
Solid Waste to the Aasociatibn Dominicana U.$,A. of Florida,
Inc., in connection with the 12?nd Anniversary Celebration of the

Secton 3. The herein allocation is conditioned upon

} substantial compliance with City of Miami Administrative Policy
No. APM-1-84, dated January 24, 1984.
Section 4. Upon the issuance of a temporary permit by the
Florida State 'D?partlnent of Business Regulation, Division of
s Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco to sell beer and wine, and
pursuant to the City Code , the request of the Association
s Dominicana U.S.A. of Florida, Inc. to sell beer and wine for a
one -day period in connection with the 122nd Anniversary
Celebration of the "Restauracion de la Republica" to be held at
Viz. Jose Marti Park on August 18, 1985, is hereby granted in
compliance with Ordinance No. 9818, further subject to the
` issuance of all permits required by law.

Background:
. The City Commission, by Motion No. 85-455 of May 9, 19851
. expressed its intent to provide $5,000 to the Association
Dominicana U.S.A. of Florida, Inc., for in -kind services in
support of the 122nd Anniversary Celebration of the "Restauracion
de la Republica", to be held August 18, 1985, at Jose Marti Park.
Additionally, fees for use of the park were waived ($100.00)
=: The organization has additional) requested permission to sell

beer and wine in the park on that day in connection with the
event, subject to the issuance of a state permit.
