RESOLUTION NU.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE INSTALLATION OF
DRIVE-IN FACILITIES AT THE VROVEGATE RANK
LOCATED AT 2770 SOUT14WEST 27TH AVENUE, MIAMI,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Grovegate Bank desires to install drive-in
facilities in conjunction with its bank building which will be
located at 2770 Southwest 27th ikvenue, Miami, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it wishes
to review all applications for the installation of drive-in
facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ,BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The construction of drive-in facilities at
Grovegate Bank is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of July , 1985.

It is required that a review be made
of the Special Exception granted by
the Zoning Board permitting a
proposed drive-in facility for the
Grovegate Bank at 2770 SW 27 Avenue.
The Zoning Board, at its meeting of June 3, 1985, Item 3, following an
advertised hearing, adopted Resolution ZB 78-85 by a 9 to 0 vote, granting the
Special Exception as listed in Ordinance 9500, as amended, Schedule of
District Regulations, page 4 of 6, CR-3 Commercial -Residential (General),
Principal Uses and Structures, permitting a proposed drive-in facility for the
Grovegate Bank at 2770 SW 27 Avenue, also described as Lots 1 through 6, Block
3, COMMERCIAL SILVER BLUFF (14-59), as per plans on file and subject to review
and approval by the City Commission; zoned CR-3/7 Commercial -Residential
(General). This Special Exception was also granted a time limitation of six
(6) months in which a building permit must be obtained.
Six proponents present at the meeting.
Backup information is included for your review.
A RESOLUTION to provide for the above has been prepared by the City Attorney's
Office and submitted for consideration of the City Commission.

RECOMMENDATIONS
PLANNING DEPARTMENT APPROVAL. The subject request is in accord with
tie —"intent of the Zoning Ordinance and meets the
10 required stacking spaces behind the teller
window. The proposed drive-in facility will not
have an adverse impact on the surrounding area.
The applicant also provides for adequate
landscaping and ingress/egress.
PUBLIC WORKS No dedication is requested.
DADE COUNTY TRAFFIC No objection.
& TRANSPORTATION
ZONING BOARD At its meeting of June 3, 1985, the Zoning Board
adopted Resolution ZB 78-85 by a 9 to 0 vote,
granting the above subject to review and approval
by the City Commission. This Special Exception
was also granted a time limitation of six (6)
l months in which a building permit must be obtained.

APPLICATION FOR A CLASS D SPECIAL PERMIT OR SPECIAL EXCEPTION

Within the City generally, or within certain zoning districts, certain structures, uses,
and/or occupancies specified in this ordinance are of a nature requiring special and
intensive review to determine whether or not they should be permitted in specific
locations, and if so, the special Iimitations, conditions, and safeguards which should
be applied as reasonably necessary to promote the general purposes of this Zoning
Ordinance, and, in particular, to protect adjoining properties and the neighborhood
from avoidable potentially adverse effects. It is further intended that the expertise
and judgement of the Zoning Board be exercised in making such determinations, in
accordance with the rules, considerations and limitations relating to Class D Special
Permits and Special Exceptions. (See Article 26.)
Formal public notice and hearing is not mandatory for CIass D Special Permits, but is
mandatory for Special Exceptions. In other respects, these classes of special permits
are the same.
The Zoning Board shall be solely responsible for determinations on applications for
Class D Special Permits and Special Exceptions. All applications in these classes of
special parmits shall be referred to the director of the Department of Planning for his
recommendations and the director shall make any further referrals required by these
regulations.

Polycarbonate
FEATURES
BODY —One piece polycarbonate unit with serrations
on 5 increments in each end. Each body has provi-
sions for mounting terminal blocks and attaching back -
plates. Bodies may be fastened together to make
multi -section signals. The 8" and t 2" bodies can be in-
termixed to form special signals.
DOOR —One piece polycarbonate unit equipped with
stainless steel hinge pins. Stainless steel thumbscrews
hold the door against the body.
VISOR —One piece polycarbonate unit attached to the
door. The removable twist -on visor is secured to the

REFLECTOR —A one piece, separately hinged. metal-
lized polycarbonate reflector is standard. ALZAK" re-
flectors are available.
LENS —The standard lens is polycarbonate capable of
withstanding illumination by a standard traffic signal
lamp without physical distortion. A glass lens is also
available.
LENS GASKET —A molded one piece neoprene gas-
ket is used to seal the lens to the reflector and door to
form a sealed unit.
LAMP SOCKET —insulated, prefocused, and may be
rotatea for positioning the lamp filament without using
tools.
POSITIVE POSITIONING —Positive positioning and
IocKing is achieved through the use of serrated bracK-
ets. mast arm, or span wire fittings.
