WHEREAS, at the ity Commission Meeting of July 18, 1985, Resolution No. 85-770 was passed which ordered a highway improvement identified as OCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I in COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I H-4511; an d WHEREAS, pursuant to due blic notice, a public hearing was held before the City Commission n September 12, 1985, as to any objections to the confirmation o Resolution Fdo. 85-770 which resolution ordered COCONUT GROVE HI HWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I in COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISICT-PHASE I H-4511; and WHEREAS, no objections to the co firmation of said highway improvement were sustained by the Commi`sion, it is therefore in order for the Commission to confirm said orderina resolution and ri the i Clerk to advertise fors sealed bids for the authorize City C e a s � construction of said improvement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMM SION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Resolution No. 85-770 dated July 1 , 1985, which ordered COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE H-4511 in COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I H-4511 is hereby confirmed. Section 2. COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY I'MPROVEMENT-PHASE 14-4511 was ordered by the City Commission on July 18, 1 985. It is now in order to confirm the ordering resolution and to authorize advertising for bids. A public hearing will be held by the City Commission on September 12, 1985. At that time the Commission will hear objections to the confirmation of Ordering Resolution No. 35- 770. This improvement is being proposed as an assessable improvement under Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami. This district is located in the area bordered by Florida Avenue, Day Avenue, McDonald Street(S. W. 32 Avenue)and Plaza Street. The condition of the street right of way in this area has deteriorated. The pavement is narrow, in poor condition, off center and/or out of grade; side parkways are in poor condition; sidewalk exists only at scattered sites; and drainage problems exist. All of these problems wi l l be corrected on the streets within COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I, H-4511. T"e proposed construction will include asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb and gutter, storm drainage facilities and landscaping. �r- -IV. Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Commission The construction of this improvement 011 be funded by General Obligation Bond Funds. The estimated total cost of this project is $1,600,000. This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and assessments as COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE I H- 4511 and the property against which special assessments shall be made for a portion of the cost thereof shall be designated as COCONUT GROVE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT -PHASE I H-4511.
