ENCLOSURES:
Our office has been requested by Mayor Perre to furnish required
legislation for a November 5, 1985 referendum that- will allow the
City to issue general obligation bonds not exceeding $6,000,000
for the acquisition cost of the land parcel known as Commodore Bay
for public purposes. Attached you will find drafts of two
ordinances providing for such action on your part.
The City Manager is requested to place the two items on the Agenda
for the September 12, 1985 City Commission Meeting.

Dear Mayor Ferre, et al:
Please be advised that the undersigned, Kenneth Triester,
Howard R. Scharlin and Gerald Katcher, being the owners of the
Commodore Bay property, located at approximately 3471 Main
Highway, City of Miami, Florida and being the applicants -
petitioners on agenda items 86, 87 and 88 of the September 12,
1985 City of Miami Commission Agenda, hereby withdraw their
application for major use special permit and modification of
City of Miami Charter requirements as well as their petition
to review the Heritage Conservation Board's decision denying
preliminary application for certificate of approval, as more
specifically set forth in Attachment "A" hereto which is
incorporated herein by reference.
Please be advised that it is the undersigneds' intend
to file a new application for rezoning on the subject property
within the immediate future.
