After the 1980 riots, the Governor of Florida established the bade County

to the riots. ,As a result of the Committee's efforts, a recommendation was

Oue to an unfortunate set of circumstances, the resolution authorizing the City
Manager to enter Into the #test year contract extension was not acted upon at
the 3uly 239 1983, meeting of the City Commission. in order to expedite the
payment to the consultant, the City Manager executed the agreement on August
13, 1923. Therefore, it is requested that the City Commission now ratify,
approve and confirm said action taken by the City Manager in an amount not to
exceed $69,137.02 from Fiscal Year 1924-23 Budgeted Police bepartment Funds.
