A RESOLUTION OtRECTINO THE CITY MAWER TO
REQUIRE THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO DEVELOP
STRUCTURAL AESTHETIC STANDARDS POR OUTDOOR
ADVERTISING SIGNS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
SIGN INDUSTRY, WITH StfCH STANDARDS TO BE
APPLIED UNIFORMLY TO ALL APPROVED OUTDOOR
ADVERTISING SIGNS.
WHEREAS, the Miami %oninq Board, at a special meeting held
on August g► 1985► following an aA vertised hearinq► adopted
Resolution 28 114-85 by an 8 to 0 vote, recommending to the City
Commission that structural aesthetic standards for outdoor
advertising signs be developed by the Planning Department in
conjunction with the sign industry with such standards to be
applied uniformly to all outdoor advertising signs (O.A.S.)
approved by the City Commission pursuant to Ordinance No. 9993;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
MIAMI, PLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby directed to require
the Planning Department to develop structural aesthetic standards
for outdoor advertising signs in coniunction with the sign
industry, with such standards to be applied uniformly to all
outdoor advertising signs approved by the City Commission
pursuant to Ordinance No. 9993.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of SEPTEMBER , 1985.

It is recommended by the Zoning
Board that structural aesthetic
standards be developed for outdoor
advertising signs.
The Zoning Board, at a special meeting on August 9, 1985, following an
advertised hearing, adopted Resolution ZB 114-85 by an 8 to 0 vote,
recommending to the City Commission that structural aesthetic standards for
outdoor advertising signs be developed by the Planning Department in
conjunction with the sign industry; said standards to be applicable uniformly
to all signs approved.
A RESOLUTION to provide for the above has been prepared by the City Attorney's
Office and submitted for consideration of the City Commission.
