REFERENCES For City Commission Meeting

ENCLOSURES.
It is recommended that a Resolution be
adopted authorizing the purchase of one
(1) Dictaphone Thirty Channel Transport
Logger at a cost of $25,225.75, two (2)
Dual Deck Activity Monitors at a cost of
$1,495.00 each, two 2 printers at a
cost of $1,695.00 each, plus
installation at a cost of $50.00 each,
under a currently effective State of
Florida Contract (No. 725-62-85-1) from
Dictaphone Corporation, a Pitney Bowes
Company, for a total cost of $31,705.75.
The Dictaphone Thirty Channel Recorder will be used in the Fire
Dispatch Center to record in -coming and out -going emergency
telephone calls. The Dual Deck Activity Monitors will be used
in conjunction with the Dictaphone Thirty Channel Recorder and
an existing Dictaphone Forty (40) Channel Recorder to log all
calls both on the telephone and the new 800 MHz radio systems.
With the enhancement of our radio system from eight (8) working
channels to thirty (30) working channels in our new Fire, Rescue
Dispatch Center, it has become necessary to expand the recording
capabilities. This additional recording and logging equipment
will perform the everyday documentation necessary to provide
public information as required by State Law.
The recorder and activity monitors, as specified above, are
presently available under a currently effective State of Florida
contract (No. 725-62-85-1) from Dictaphone Corporation.
This equipment will be compatible with the Dictaphone equipment
that has already been purchased by Motorola for the 800 MHz
system in the Fire Rescue Dispatch Center.
The total one time cost will be $31,705.75. Funds for the
purchases of this items will be provided from Fire Bonds Project
No. 313212-289401-840.
