A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING, DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND SINCEREST CONDOLENCES OF THE CITY COMMISSION ON 13EHALP OF THE, CITY OF MIAMI AND ITS CITIZENS TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF CONCHITA CASTANEDO UPON HER DEATH. WHEREAS, Conchita Castanedo, who _recently passed away, was one of the few woman political activists in Cuba f3urinq the 1930's and 1940's and was elected as an alternate member of. Congress in Cuba; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Castanedo devoted years of service to politics and social causes both in Cuba and in 'Miami; and WHEREAS, the City Commission proclaimed May 23, 1985 as Conchita Castanedo Dav; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission, on behalf of. the City of Miami and its citizens to express its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Conchita Castanedo; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESnrVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THR CITY OF MIAMI, FhORIDA: Section 1. On hehalf of the citizens of the City of Miami, the City Commission hereby conveys to the family and friends of Conchita Castanedo its deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences, upon her death.
