WHEREAS, Mary Ann 'Kniqht, who list pasr"-d away, was the widow of James L. Kniqht, Chairman emertius of. THE MIAMI HERALD, and she and her husband were philanthropists who gave millions of dollars for research to ►.Ile Miami Children',,:-, Hospital; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Kniqht devoted years of service to handicapped children and for many years was the President of. the Faster Seal Society in Dade County; and WHEREAS, it is the desire r)f the City Commission, on behalf. of the City of Miami and its citizens to express its deepest sympathy to the family and Friends of Mary Ann Kniqht; NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. On behalf of the citizens of the City of Miami, the City Commission hereby conveys to the family and friends of. Mary Ann Kniqht its deepest sympathv and sincerest condolences, upon her death. Section 2. This Resolution is offered by the City Commission as a token of its respect and esteem. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of SEPTEMBER , 1985.
