RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF
FRANK J. MORAN IN THE PROPOSED
AMOUNT OF $259,100.OU, BASE BID OF THE
PROPOSAL PLUS ADDITIVE ITEM A, FOR CURTIS
PARK - SPORTSFIELD LIGHTING WITH MONIES
THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE "CURTIS PARK
IMPROVEMENTS" ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$2599100.00 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received September 24, 1985 for
CURTIS PARK - SPORTSFIELD LIGHTING; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Public Works
recommend that the bid received from Frank J. Moran be accepted
as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Appropriation Ordinance

No. 9939, as amended, was adopted on December 20, 1984, and
monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract,
project expense, incidentals and indirect cost from the account
entitled "Curtis Park Improvements" as set forth under Sec. 3.A.
Parks.9 of said ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The September 24, 1985 bid of Frank J. Moran in
the proposed amount of $259,100.00 for the project entitled
CURTIS PARK - SPORTSFIELD LIGHTING base bid of the proposal plus
additive item A, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $259,100.00 is hereby allocated
from the "Curtis Park Improvements" account to cover the cost of
said contract.

The Department of Public Works has determined a
low bidder for the CURTIS PARK - SPORTSFIELD
LIGHTING. The proposed attached resolution
accepts the bid received September 24, 1985 of
Frank J. Moran in the amount of $259,100 and
authorizes the City Manger to enter into a
contract on behalf of the City.
Bids were received September 24, 1985 for CURTIS PARK - SPORTSFIELD
LIGHTING.
As reflected in the tabulation of bids, the $259,100 bid of Frank
J. Moran is the lowest responsible bid for the total bid of the
proposal.
Funds have been allocated under the "Curtis Park Improvements"
account, and monies are available for the estimated amount of the
contract, for project expense, for such items as advertising,
testing laboratories, and postage.
Fourteen contractors picked up plans and specifications (minority
contractors: 0 hispanic, 0 blacks); 1 contractors submitted bids
(minority contractors: 0 hispanic, 0 black). The engineer's
estimate was $200,000.00.
