A RESOLUTIOW OP,DERING CITY WIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II 14-4515 AND DESIGNATING THE
PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE
MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST THEPEOF AS CITY WIDE
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - PHASE II H-4515.
WHEREAS, the overall condition of certain street rights of wav in the
vicinity of the Jackson Memorial Medical Center has deteriorated; and
WHEREAS, the deteriorated streets have parkways in poor condition due to
extensive on -street parking, pavement that is narrow, in poor condition and/or
out of grade, and drainage problems exist; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements will include new asphaltic pavement,
concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm drainage facilities and
landscaping; and
WHEREAS, CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II H-4515 is included in the
City of Miami's Capital Improvement Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II H-4515 shall be made under Section 56 of the Charter of
the City of Miami, as amended, located in the area bordered by N.W. 17 Street,
N.W. 19 Street, N.W. 7 Avenue and N.W. 9 Avenue.
Section 2. This improvement shall include clearing and grading,
construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete
sidewalk, storm drainage facilities and landscaped areas.
Section 3. This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and
assessments as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II H-4515 and the property
against which special assessments shall be made for a portion of the cost
thereof, hereunder shall be designated as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT - PHASE II H-4515 with the following property descriptions by lot and
block number constituting all of the pieces of property affected by said

The Department of Public Works recommends
the adoption of a resolution ordering CITY
WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II H-4515
in the CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT - PHASE II H-4515.
In a continuing effort to serve the residents of the City of Miami,
a local improvement described as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -
PHASE II H-4515, is being proposed as an assessable improvement
under Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami. This
district is located in the area bordered by N.W. 17 Street, N.W. 19
Street, N.W. 7 Avenue and N.W. 9 Avenue.
The condition of certain street rights of way in the area mentioned
above has deteriorated. The pavement is in poor condition and/or
out of grade; side parkways are in poor condition; and drainage
problems exist.
All of these problems will be corrected on the streets included in
CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II. The proposed
construction will include asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk,
concrete curbs and/or gutters, storm drainage and landscaping.
CITY (WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE II is included in the City of
Miami's 1985-91 Capital Improvement Program. The construction of.
this improvement will be funded by Highway General Obligation Bond
Funds. The estimated total cost of this project is $350,000.
