A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF 3
AVENUE BETWEEN N.E. 1 STREET AND S.E. 1
STREET AND THE CLOSURE OF FLAGLER STREET
BETWEEN BISCAYNE BOULEVARD AND N.W. 2 AVENUE
ON OCTOBER 25, 1985, BETWEEN 1:00 P.M. AND
1:20 P.M. FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOWING A
PARADE OF ANTIQUE FIRE APPARATUS, ANNOUNCING
THE 4TH ANNUAL FIRE DEPARTMENT MUSTER; SAID
CLOSURE BEING CONDITIONED UPON APPROVAL OF
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE DEPARTMENT OF
FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the 1985 Florida Antique Bucket Brigade Muster
is being held on October 26, 1985, consisting of a fire apparatus
show and competition events, sponsored by the Florida Antique
Bucket Brigade, the Greater Miami Code One Association and the
Dade County Chief Fire Officers; and
WHEREAS, the proceeds of the event will benefit the
University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center, the Greater
Miami Code One Association and the Florida Antique Bucket
Brigade; and
WHEREAS, the parade is intended to promote this one day
event, and is being sponsored by the City of Miami Department of
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services in conjunction with the
above named organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The closure of Flagler Street between
Biscayne Boulevard and N.W. 2 Avenue and the closing of 3 Avenue
between N.E. 1 Street and S.E. 1 Street, on October 25, 1985,
between 1:00 P.M. and 1:20 P.M., for the purpose of allowing a
parade announcing the 4th Annual Fire Department Muster is hereby
approved.
Section 2. The above approval is made subject to the
approval of both the Police Department and the Department of
Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. CITY COMMISSION

It is recommended that approval be given
to the closing of Flagler Street between
Biscayne Boulevard and N.W. 2 Avenue and
certain other intersections on October
25, 1985, between 1:00 P.M. and 1:20
P.M., for the purpose of allowing a
parade of antique fire apparatus,
announcing the 4th Annual Fire
Department Muster on October 25, 1985.
The City of Miami Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspection
Services, together with the Florida Antique Bucket Brigade, the
Greater Miami Code One Association and the Dade County Chief
Fire Officers, is sponsoring a parade of antique fire apparatus
on October 25, 1985, announcing the 4th Annual Fire Department
Muster to be held the following day, Saturday, October 26, 1985.
The proceeds of the Muster will be used to benefit the
University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Burn Center, the Code One
Association and the Florida Antique Bucket Brigade.
The parade will commence at 1:00 P.M. on October 25, run for
approximately 20 minutes westward along Flagler Street, and be
subject to approvals of both the Police Department and the
Department of Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services.
