The name of Calle Ocho has become "the" name by r+h:ch
that street is generally known i.,oth due Lo the Effort
and success of the merchants in that street as well as
the international exposure the "Calle Ocho: ;Jr,en House"
festival has given it. We feel that the change is coiri-
patible with general use, the desire of the couirnunity,
the Latin Quarter project and the festival itself.
It is our understanding that if the City dacs eha
official name change, the County will provide _ne
new signs and install them through t:e: v Eubl :c W,:.rks
Department. If there are expenses . .vo 1 ved ,
our Club together with the Little Haver+a Tcuv tis
Authority, is willing to back up the pra)ect i,+s.th
monies needed through our "Street .mpvc.verlt :nt" .;-nd.
We would deeply appreciate your suppo:-t :n this
