Dear Mr,.-Udio:
This is a request to use the Orange Bowl for a special naturalization ceremony
on July 3, 1986, a ceremony that will coincide with others throughout the nation,
as a part of a national "Liberty Weekend '86".
On that day we propose to naturalize about 15,000 applicants and expect 15,000
guests. The ceremony would be in the evening with fireworks to follow.
It is requested that the fee for the use of the Orange Bowl be waived. However,
we are authorized to reimburse all reasonable costs associated, such as jani-
torial, security, first aid, parking services, etc., similar to the arrangement
in September 1984, when 9,700 persons were naturalized.
If this meets with your approval, please provid6 an itemized cost list for these
services.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at 536-4787.
Sincerely,
Perry A. Aivkind
