AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18-104, ENTITLED: "RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITY ATTORNEY", OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE CLAIM SETTLEMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY ATTORNEY FROM $4,500 TO $25,000 AND BY PROVIDING THAT PROPOSED SETTLEMENT AGREEMENTS OF CLAIMS OR SUITS IN EXCESS OF $25,000 SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY COMMISSION FOR ITS APPROVAL PRIOR TO THE CITY'S ACCEPTANCE OF SUCH PROPOSED SETTLEMENT . AGREEMENT; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 18-104, entitled "Responsibilities of city attorney" of the Code of the City of Miami A Flogtida, as amended, is hereby amended in the following par 'c :1 "Sec. 18-104. Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. M a
