RESOLUTION NO. K-1202
A RESOLUTION ORDERING CITY WIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT - PHASE III H-4516 AND DESIGNATING THE
PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS SHALL BE
MADE FOR A PORTION OF THE COST THEREOF AS CITY WIDE
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - PHASE III H-4516.
WHEREAS, the overall condition of N.W. 2.6 Street between N.W. 12 and 14
Avenues has deteriorated; and
WHEREAS, the property owners adjacent to N.W. 26 Street between N.W. 12 and
14 Avenues have petitioned the Department of Public Works to rebuild said
street; and
WHEREAS, the deteriorated street has parkways in poor condition due to
extensive on -street parking, pavement that is narrow, in poor condition and/or
out of grade, and drainage problems exist; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements will include new asphaltic pavement,
concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete sidewalk, storm drainage facilities and
landscaping; and
WHEREAS, CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE III H-4516 is included in
the City of Miami's Capital Improvement Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY
IMPROVEMENT - PHASE III H-4516 shall be made under Section 56 of the Charter of
the City of Miami, as amended, located at N.W. 26 Street from M.W. 12 Avenue to
N.W. 14 Avenue.
Section 2. This improvement shall include clearing and grading,
construction of asphaltic pavement, concrete curbs and/or gutters, concrete
sidewalk, storm drainage facilities and landscaped areas.

Section 3. The improvement shall be designated in all proceedings and
assessments as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE III H-4516 and the property
against which special assessments shall be made for a portion of the cost
thereof, hereunder shall be designated as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT - PHASE III H-4516 with the following property descriptions by lot and

It is recommended that a resolution be adopted
ordering CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -PHASE
III H-4516 in the CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT -PHASE III H-4516.
In a continuing effort to serve the residents of the City of Miami,
a local improvement described as CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT -
PHASE III H-4516, is being proposed as an assessable improvement
under Section 56 of the Charter of the City of Miami. This district
is located at N.W. 26 Street from N.W. 12 Avenue to N.W. 14 Avenue.
The property owners adjacent to this portion of N.W. 26 Street have
petitioned the Department of Public Works to rebuild 26 Street.

The condition of N.W. 26 Street has deteriorated. The pavement is
in poor condition and/or out of grade; side parkways are in poor
t condition; and drainage problems exist. All of these problems will
be corrected on that portion of N.W. 26 Street within CITY WIDE
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE III. The proposed construction will
r include asphaltic pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs and/or
gutters, storm drainage and landscaping.
CITY WIDE HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT - PHASE III is included in the City of
Miami's 1985-91 Capital Improvement Program. The construction of
this improvement will be funded by Highway General Obligation Bond
Funds. The estimated total cost of this project is $210,000.
