AND SUBSECTiON 30-55 ENTITLED
"SPECIAL RATES" OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED,
BY REVISING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR
CITY OF MIAMI GOLF COURSES, AND
FURTHER, ESTABLISHING A MONTHLY
PRE -PAID MEMBERSHIP FEE OF $40.00,
AN ELECTRIC CART RENTAL OF $9.00
FOR THE THIRD MEMBER OF A THREESOME
WHEN TWO CARTS ARE RENTED,
MANDATORY RENTAL OF ELECTRIC GOLF
_ CARTS ON SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND
HOLIDAYS, YEAR ROUND FROM OPENING
TO 10:00 AM, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO OFFER DISCOUNT COUPONS
AND/OR PROMOTIONAL OFFERS IN
CONNECTION WITH GOLF COURSE FEES
AND CHARGES; CONTAINING A REPEALER
PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Sections 30-53, 30-54, and 30-55 of the Code of
the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, are hereby further
amended in the following particulars:)
"Section 30-53• Green Fees.
(A) Regular Green Fees. Green fees for residents and
nonresidents of the city are as follows:
(2) Winter months:

Twilight .............................$ 5.00
Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted.
Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The
remaining provisions are now in effect and remain
unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged
material.
State tax is to be added to the fees specified above.
Commencement and termination of the summer months fees is to
be announced by the City Manager, with commencement to be
effective no earlier than April fifteenth and no later than
April twenty-ninth, and with termination to be effective no
earlier than November fifteenth and no later than November
twenty-ninth.
(B) Annual Pre -paid Green Fees. Annual pre -paid golf
course green fees, exclusive of state or city taxes, are as
follows:

Sundays, and holidays, year round, during both summer
and winter seasons, from the designated daily opening
to 10.00 AM at the prevailing rate as established by

Manager may, at his/her discretion,

other protnotional _offerings where he%she
has determined this action to be in the

promotions and reduced fees as are being
offered by _other _Zolf `courses_ within
Dade County, Florida.

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
insofar as they are in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph,
clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is declared
invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall
not be affected.

"It is recommended that
Section 30-53, 30-54, and 30-
55 of the City Code be
further amended for the
purpose of revising certain
fees at City of Miami Golf
Courses as indicated below;
as per attached Ordinance."
BACKGROUND:
The City of Miami Golf Committee, along with the City
Administration, has reviewed the existing fees and policies and
have recommended the below listed revisions for implementation
at City of Miami Golf Facilities. (A Golf Fee Comparison
Survey is attached for reference):
Revised Fees:
o Winter Season Green Fees from $10.00 to $11.00.
This would increase revenues by approximately
$50,000.
o Electric golf cart rental from $14.00 to $16.00.
This would increase revenues by approximately
$44,000.
o Annual prepaid green fees reduced from $400 to
$325 for the first three -hundred memberships.

KNOWN AND CITED AS "THE MINORITY AND WOMEN
BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND PROCUREMENT PROGRAM ORDI-
NANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA," ESTABLISHING
A MINORITY AND WOMEN BUSINESS AFFAIRS PROCURE-
MENT PROGRAM AND COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR.THE
CREATION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF AN OFFICE OF
MINORITY AND WOMEN BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND PRO-

respect to the proposed ordinance(s).
