RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING, IN PRINCIPLE, THE
USE OF CITY -OWNED FLAGAMI PARK, LOCATED AT
7121 SOUTHWEST THIRD STREET, BY A NONPROFIT
SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROVIDING SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL, EDUCATIONAL
AND/OR NUTRITIONAL SERVICES TO AREA
RESIDENTS, WHICH SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCY SHALL
BE REQUIRED TO SECURE ALL NECESSARY FUNDING
TO PROVIDE SAID SERVICES; FURTHER PROVIDING
• THAT ACTUAL USE OF SAID PARK SHALL NOT BE
AUTHORIZED WITHOUT FINAL APPROVAL OF THE CITY
COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami is responsible for the welfare of
its residents, some of whom require specialized services to meet
their particular needs: the elderly, the economically
disadvantaged, and the disabled; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends
that any use arrangement by a social service agency of the City -
owned Flagami Park, 7121 Southwest Third Street, require the
using agency to maintain or enhance existing Handicapped programs
that currently operate from that facility, and to secure all
necessary funds for its own operations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The use of City -owned Flagami Park, located
at 7121 Southwest Third Street, by a nonprofit social service
agency, for the purpose of providing social, recreational,
educational and/or nutritional services to area residents, which
social service agency shall be required to secure all necessary
funding to provide said services, is hereby approved, in
principle.
Section 2. Actual use of said park shall not be
authorized without the final approval of the City Commission.

organization, has provided social, nutritional and recreational
