ENCLOSURES
"It is recommended that the
Liga Contra E1 Cancer be
allowed to sell beer and
wine, subject to the issuance
of the necessary temporary
permit by the Florida Depart-
ment of Business Regulation,
Division of Alcoholic Bever-
ages and Tobacco, during its
annual Festival, February 7,
8 and 9, 1986, on Watson
Island, and that a nonexclus-
ive concession rights agree-
ment with the organization, be
authorized, per the attached
resolution."
The Liga Contra E1 Cancer has planned its Festival February 7, 8, and
9, 1986, on Watson Island which will include rides, games, food and
beverages. Proceeds from this annual fundraising event will be used
to help cancer patients who have no resources.
The City of Miami has established a policy of allowing everts which
include mechanical rides on Watson Island. It has also supported
this event in the past by allowing the sale of beer and wire. The
Parks and Recreation Department recommends that this permission be
granted again this year. It has also recommended that a three day
nonexclusive concession rights agreement with the organization be
authorized. This agreement will establish the terms and conditions
under which the organization will be permitted to hold its event,
including insurance requirements.
