Odio City Manager IF REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A RESOLUTION BE PASSED ACCEPTING THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE AND RESPONSIVE BID FROM THE STARDUST JANITORIAL FOR THE PROVIDING OF CUSTODIAL SERVICES AT THE MANUEL ARTIME COMMUNITY CENTER FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR AT A TOTAL COST OF $22,734.60. Pursuant to public notice #85-86-08, bids were received for the providing of custodial services at the Manuel Artime Community Center. These bids were carefully analyzed by the General Services Administration Department. Their review determined that the lowest responsible and responsive bid is received from the Black -owned company, Stardust Janitorial. It is expected that this firm will provide a quality level of custodial services at this high use facility. The service level ' for this facility needs to be continuous and thorough, principally because of the numerous and important fuctions that are held on an on -going basis. It is therefore recommended that Bid #85-86-08 be awarded to the Black -owned company, Stardust Janitorial, for one year at a total cost of $22,734.60. Minority responses consisted of seven (7) bids from hispanic firms and five (5) bids from black firms including Stardust Janitorial the recommended bidder.
