HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-10078NNW J-86-5 12/23/85 ORDINANCE NO. 0 s AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE _ NO. 9743, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 16, 1983, WHICH ESTABLISHED A SPECIAL REVENUE FUND ENTITLED "PARK DEVELOPMENT FUND", BY ESTABLISHING RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATIONS FOR SAID FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 AS THE RESULT OF PRIVATE DONATION BY FABULOUS DIAMONDS PARTNERSHIP FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE COST OF PARK DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS OR PROVIDING LOCAL MATCH REQUIREMENTS FOR FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission on November 16, 1983, established a special revenue fund entitled "Park Development Fund"; and WHEREAS, said fund provided a perpetual revenue fund account into which private donations are to be deposited and from which appropriations will be made on an ongoing basis for Park Development or Redevelopment Projects: and WHEREAS, the City of Miami has received a private donation in the amount of $5,000 from Fabulous Diamonds Partnership; and WHEREAS, said donation will be used to defray the cost of Park Development Projects or provide local match requirements for federal and state grants; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9743, adopted November 16, 1983, which established a Special Revenue Fund entitled "Park Development Fund", is hereby amended in the following particulars 1: "Section 1. The following Special Revenue Fund is hereby established as described herein: Fund Title: Park Development Fund Resources: Private Donations $__0— $5.000 Appropriations: park Development Fund $5,000" 1 Figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. Section 2. This Ordinance incorporates a $5,000 private donation from Fabulous Diamonds Partnership for the purpose of defraying the cost of Park Development Projects or providing local match requirements for federal and state grants. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance shall be held to be invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected. BACKGROUND: The City Commission passed Ordinance No. 9743 establishing the Park Development Fund on November 16, 1983. Said fund provides a perpetual revenue account into which private donations will be deposited and from which appropriations will be made on an ongoing basis for park development or redevelopment projects.
