FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM DATE: MAR Z O 1986 FILE: Co -designation of N.W. 5 Ct. suucr: Between N.W. 60 St. and N.W. 62 St. as "Red Raiders Road" REFERENCESR e s o l u t i o n (For Commission Meeting of ENCLOSURES: M a r c h 27, 19 8 6) It is recommended that a resolution be adopted co -designating N.W. 5th Ct. between N.W. 60th St. and N.W. 62nd St. as "Red Raiders Road"; requesting Dade County Department of Public Works to make and install street identification signs bearing such dual designation; and authorizing and directing the City Clerk to forward this resolution to affected agencies. A request came from a group of citizens to co -designate N.W. 5th Ct. between N.W. 60th St. and N.W. 62nd St. as "Red Raiders Road" as a source of community pride in Liberty City. This request was transmitted to the Plat and Street Committee for review. The Committee did not recommend the request. However; since the students and alumnus of Miami Edison Senior High School have shown a profound admiration and dedication to their institution through this quest, it would be befitting the spirit of community harmony to grant their request of naming N.W. 5th Ct. between N.W. 60th St. and 62nd St. as "Red Raiders Road." By granting this request, it would not be without precedent to allow multi co -designations at one intersection. cc: Alberto Ruder MoTiON 8f-239:: J-86-263 3/12/86 RESOLUTION NO.
