Re; SPANISH FIESTA BRAVA
I ant fornally requesting an opportunity to be heard before the
City ColMission, concerning the no ssib i.lity of bringing to this
City of '.Miami the faious Spanish'FIESTA BRAVA.
I have now the onnortunity through a Florida Senator and a
lenber of the House of Reoresentativcs to introduce a bill
authorizing such a sport in Florida, a favorite in Slain and
'Mexico and a very popular one in the countries of South and
Central America. You are aware, I am sure, of what this will
represent for the promotion of tourisn in this area, and the
tremendous economic impact of using the Orange Bowl Stadium,
hotels, Restaurant and travel facilities of South Florida.
These legislators have advised ne•that a IFtter from you
either backing or not opposing in principle to such an idea will
be a considerable help to thr-m in passing -such a bill in the
Florida legislature.
The bulls would be imported from Mexico City and would be
returned safely after the "Corrida" because no killing and no
harm to the animals is planned.
Please let me know your decision as soon as possible and thanks -
very much for your king attention to this matter.
Will like to be heard on the 10th of April of 1986.
