FOR FURNISHING TWO (2) PATROL VESSELS, OUTBOARD MOTORS, TRAILERS AND MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AT TOTAL PROPOSED COST OF $88,007.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE 1984-85 OPERATING BUDGET; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE ASSISTANT CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received July 17, 1985 for the furnishing of Two (2) Patrol Vessels, Five (5) Outboard Motors, Two (2) Trailers and Miscellaneous Equipment to the Department of General Services Administration; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 24 potential suppliers and 3 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1984-85 Operating Budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment will be used by the Department of Police, Marine Patrol Unit for the purpose of normal shore patrol activities; and I E WHEREAS, The City Manager and the Director of the Department of General Services Administration recommend that the bid received from Cobia Boat Company be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The July 17, 1986 bid of Cobia Boat Company for furnishing (2) Patrol Vessels, Five (5) Outboard Motors, Two (2) Trailers and Miscellaneous Equipment to the Department of General Services Administration at a total proposed cost of $88,007.00 is hereby accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the 1984-85 Operating Budget of that Department.
