Home My WebLink AboutR-86-0267J-86-329 4/3/86 RESOLUTION N0. 82~�'�"' A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND APPOINTING CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS ON THE AUDIT REVIEW COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED BY DADE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 86-8, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 4, 1986, ENTITLED: "ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN AUDIT REVIEW COMMITTEE TO PERFORM AN ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE MIAMI-DADE WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY DEPARTMENT'S BUDGETS AND SEGREGATION OF FUNDS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO FORWARD A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE CLERK OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA. WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of a stipulated agreement filed on February 25, 1986 in litigation between the City of Miami and Metropolitan Dade County, the Dade County Board of County Commissioners has adopted Ordinance No. 86-8 entitled: and "ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN AUDIT REVIEW COMMITTEE TO PERFORM AN ANNUAL REVIEW OF THE MIAMI-DADE WATER AND SEWER AUTHORITY DEPARTMENT'S BUDGETS AND SEGREGATION OF FUNDS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."; WHEREAS, in accordance with said Ordinance No. 86-8, adopted February 4, 1986, said Audit Review Committee is to be composed of nine individuals designated and/or appointed by the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Commission has already appointed two individuals to serve as public members on said Committee; and WHEREAS, the designation and/or appointment set forth in this Resolution properly implements the provisions of Dade County Ordinance No. 86-8; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. This Committee will perform a review of the annual budget, finances and operation of the Miami -Dade Water and Sewer Authority Department to ensure that all department funds remain segregated from the general funds of Dade County and that all proceeds received by the department are used for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the water and sewer system of Dade County, including administrative overhead billed by other county departments. Section 3. The review will be performed within the months of April through June of each year. Section 4. The findings of the Committee shall be reported to both the City Manager and County Manager for presentation by each manager to their respective Boards of Commissioners. Section S.
