A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF ARMANDO
FOJON PAINTING FOR PAINTING THE EXTERIOR
AND INTERIOR OF ONE (1) TWO STORE CBS
APARTMENT COMPLEX TO THE DEPARTMENT OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AT A TOTAL PROPOSED
COST OF $5,440.00; ALLOCATING FUNDS
THEREFOR FROM THE PROGRAM INCOME GENERATED
BY OPERATION OF THE BUILDING BY THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRA;1; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE ASSISTANT
CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A
PURCHASE ORDER FOR THESE MATERIALS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were
received February 19, 1986 for the painting of the exterior and
interior of one (1) two story CBS Apartment Complex to the
Department of Community Development; and
WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to forty seven (47)
potential suppliers and twelve (12) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the
Program Income Generated by Operation of the Building by the
Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, this service will be used by the Department of
?: Community Development for the purpose of needed routine exterior
and interior painting; and
i; WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the
Department of Community Development recommend that the bid
received from Armando Fojon Painting be accepted as the lowest
responsible and responsive bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The February 19, 1986 bid of Armando Fojon
Painting for painting of the exterior and interior of one (1) two
story CBS Apartment Complex to the Department of Community
Development at a total proposed cost of $5,440.00 is hereby
accepted with funds therefor hereby allocated from the Program
income generated by operation of the building by the Community
Development Department.

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
instructed the Assistant Chief Procurement Officer to issue a
Purchase Order for this service.

Pursuant to Public Notice #85-86-54, twelve bids were received for
the interior and exterior painting of one (1) two story CBS building.
This structure, purchased by the City under a previous rental
demonstration program, is an eight (8) unit rental apartment complex
located at 240 N. W. llth Street. The building is currently in need
of routine exterior and interior painting.
The lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from the
Hispanic - owned company, Armando Fojon Painting. It is expected
that this firm will be able to deliver a quality job. . Thus, it. is
