As a resident of Miami, FL and a resident of Commissioner Covo, I very much am in support of the current
plan and please move forward with approval of the grant application. As a family with children - the current
plan that's already been approved is the best one to support the current constitutuency now and not in 10
years.

Dear Mayor, Commissioners and Directors, I support RE. 3 the Shoreline Plan for Morningside Park. I am
a resident of the City of Miami. My family lives in the Morningside neighborhood, and we use Morningside
Park every day. I support the City's Parks Department's plan to invest in a renewal of Morningside Park.
The plan remediates flooding (badly needed, as many of our street near the park were flooded the past
few days with the rains), renovates existing amenities, and adds others. Morningside Park has suffered for
too tong from neglect and tack of investment by the City. White the park has served the needs of the
public for many decades, it does not fit the needs of a 21st century Miami. Nor does it address the storm
water challenges, which are already impacting the park and certain to get worse in the coming decades.
The City's Parks Department's plan seeks to address these issues and is backed by years of outreach,
study, and support. I applaud the City's deliberate and cooperative process in conceiving of a plan that
makes sense for all stakeholders, to invest in and renew Morningside park, for future generations to enjoy.
Thank you, Mike Lingle 498 NE 55th Terrace Miami, FL 33137

Dear Mayor, Commissioners and Directors, Please Support the Shoreline Plan for Morningside Park. The
park is in desperate need of aesthetic upgrades but more importantly an appropriate shoreline and seawall
to combat flooding. I am a resident of the neighborhood and understand first hand the desires of my
fellow neighbors and park users. Please support the upgrades to the Park. Joe Furst

D I am a resident of the City of Miami and Morningside Park user and I support the City's Parks
5910 Gran Department's plan to invest in a renewal of Morningside Park. The plan remediates flooding, renovates

I am pleased the city worked to hard to incorporate the public and dose neighbors' concerns. Yes. Move
forward with the plan.
I am very much in favor of RE.3! This is essential for multiple reasons including our continued floods within
morningside park, and the shoreline path is crumbling and dangerous to use. The park needs investment!
It is truly a gem within our city and should be given the financial attention it deserves. It desperately
needs updating and should be preserved for all to enjoy.
